Columbus Confederate Yankees 1965 Home Jersey

SOUTHERN LEAGUE

HISTORY

Columbus was a Yankee farm club. Managed by Rube Walker the team finished 7th in 1964 but with a new manager Loren Babe the Confederate Yankees bounced back the following year to tie for the pennant. Besides the Atlanta Black Crackers, the Confederate Yankees are our favorite contradictory nickname.
