Boston Shamrocks History

In 1936 the American Football League (not related to the 1960-1966 AFL) was created in an attmpt to challenge the primacy of the NFL. Although the League lasted only two years it did attract top-level players and is recognized an a Major league. The Shamrocks called Fenway Park home and won the first league championship with a solid 8-3 record.
