HISTORY
Beaumont won the Texas League playoffs in 1938 but lost the Dixie Series to the Atlanta Crackers of the Southern Association. The 1942 squad lost to San Antonio in the playoffs three games to two. Chester Morgan who started the season with Beaumont was traded to San Antonio and his batting (.342 batting average 216 hits) helped defeat his former team.
