The 1962 Dukes were managed by Bob Hofman and led by pitcher Jose Santiago who led the league with 16 wins. The Dukes made the playoffs but fell to Tulsa 3 games to none in the semi-finals. The 1964 team featured Mel Corbo who led the league in batting average and pitcher Jim Ward who led the league in wins and strike-outs but the team lost in the first round of the playoffs.
