We use specially-milled authentic baseball wool-blend fabric. It is very similar to what was worn in the 1950s and 1960s, and it is relatively lightweight. Contrary to popular belief, real baseball flannel is no "hotter" than modern doubleknit polyester, as flannel breathes, and the shirts are cut baggy and slightly oversized (see size chart). You need to wear a t-shirt or other garment under the flannel.


We recommend dry-cleaning your flannel but most can be washed with Woolite in the gentle cycle and hang-dried. You will get great results this way. Please note, however, that some unusual color wools and sometimes white will have a dry-clean only tag. We do not recommend machine-washing these particular shirts.


Our jackets are made with 24-ounce 100% wool melton fabric and soft, naturally-tanned "naked" leather, where leather is applicable. Jackets are cut slightly long in the waist, as this was the style in baseball.
