Toronto Toros History

This team was known as the Ottawa Nationals for the first WHA season. The Toros greeted a dim Maple Leaf Gardens for their first game. Maple Leafs owner Harold Ballard - who hated the WHA - decreed that electricity was not included in the Toros' rent, and made them fork over another $3,500.
